On creating git diffs

I just noticed my tracker blocker had to block Twitter SDK and Google Analytics from an official website from my government where I had to submit official documentation... How far can this go? We all now the next inevitable step is having them in our home.

Well after 5 years my Nexus 7 tablet has decided to stop working (can't install new apps). This after years of not even getting security updates. Disappointing that this happens when the device is perfectly fine. So I guess this is a good opportunity to install . If I'm happy with the experience, I'll probably do the same with my phone, another device working perfectly fine that hasn't got security updates for years.

@daibarnes What you mention in the podcast about "just entertainment" is interesting. I think the same piece of content, depending how the target receives it, can be just entertainment or a meaningful experience. Like most things the value is in the eyes of the beholder. One good example of the opposite is how deep topics like philosophy are taught in schools and many students are bored out of their minds.

Looking for a new position that fits my values is tough. I've been thinking about it and I decided to write it down, check it out. Also, let me know if you are aware of an opportunity where I can fit! Mostly looking for a remote fullstack/frontend/backend developer position.

I've been reading about and I am surprised to see that it's, conceptually, almost the same as a project I had been incubating for months. I haven't decided if I will start contributing to solid or continue on my own (or a combination of both). In case you want to check out what I was doing (it's still not even close to release), check it out in those repos:

noeldemartin.github.io/autonom
github.com/noeldemartin/kinko
github.com/noeldemartin/focus

@meredevelopment I have been working for some time in something that is conceptually the same thing. I wrote some explanation long ago with concrete examples, maybe that can help noeldemartin.github.io/autonom

@Gargron Funny story, I have been incubating an idea for some months and it's really similar to this, I wasn't aware of Solid existing. So I'll have to choose whether to continue or focus my efforts on helping Solid. I was planning on using OAuth + GraphQL basically.

In case you want to check it out these are the repos where I started tinkering:

noeldemartin.github.io/autonom

github.com/noeldemartin/kinko

github.com/noeldemartin/focus

It is annoying when a page whose whole purpose is to complete a form (login page, 2FA code confirmation, etc) doesn't have any input focused by default.

@meredevelopment Exactly xD I mean, there are valid scenarios to do that if the variable can have multiple types, but if it's always a boolean...

Every time I see the construct `if ($foobar === true) { ... }`, a little part of me dies.

@bellebcooper How was SO unwelcoming to you? I've always had good interactions, which of course doesn't mean anything since that's only my experience.

Ok, about my issues with Thunderbird (last toot), false alarm. Turns out it's normal that me, the sender, can see everyone else's direction. I was confused because I also added myself as one of the recipients, and I could see everyone's email in the received message as well. Which is weird.

I just sent an email using BCC with Thunderbird and it didn't hide the emails for other recipients 😱 maybe it's time to stop using it, can you guys recommend any good email client that works in linux?
