Wow, listening to Mozilla's IRL podcast I just found out that Pokemon Go is also surveillance capitalism, because they have partnerships with companies such as McDonald's that'll pay them for bringing customers by placing strategic pokestops 😱 irlpodcast.org/season4/episode

We've had some months of now. Do we know of any case where it's been enforced or punished with fines? Or will it become one of those regulations that people ignore?

Damn, I don't think I can leave the decentralization/privacy room, too many interesting talks

Hi dear #fediverse :) I’ll be at #FOSDEM this weekend and I’d love to exchange with as much people I can who are involved in building a better internet for all. Think ActivityPub, federation, self-hosting, Solid, etc. I’m working on a project to help this movement. Please dm me, boost πŸ™ @aral @eliotberriot @Framasoft @dada @pierreozoux @yunohost

I just finished rewriting my site about Autonomous Data, which is the application architecture I'll be working with for a while. From now on I'll focus on actually shipping some! noeldemartin.github.io/autonom

Yesterday I was working on migrating my website to Docker, and I decided to use a Docker nginx container as reverse proxy. Instead of using some tool to automate the process I just wrote a couple of bash scripts to have more control. git only tracks the executable part of file permissions, so nothing about users or write/read permissions.

I'm watching a Japanese TV program where they visit Eiichiro Oda's home (the author of the manga One Piece). They've just shown that he has an Alexa 😱 That means Amazon could be listening in on the secrets of One Piece!!

I started reading "Los tΓ³nicos de la voluntad" by Santiago RamΓ³n y Cajal. It has been sitting on my shelf for a long time, so it's about time :).

I recently finished reading Musashi. Awesome book. I enjoyed it so much that I've decided to write a blog post telling you what I learned. It's spoiler-free, so check it out: noeldemartin.com/blog/lessons-

Today I completed lesson 10 of Seth Godin's The Bootstrapper's Workshop. It's been great and I've learned a lot. If you are interested to see my progress read it here: noeldemartin.com/tasks/taking-
