@daibarnes What you mention in the podcast about "just entertainment" is interesting. I think the same piece of content, depending how the target receives it, can be just entertainment or a meaningful experience. Like most things the value is in the eyes of the beholder. One good example of the opposite is how deep topics like philosophy are taught in schools and many students are bored out of their minds.

@noeldemartin yes. I used a quote in my undergraduate dissertation (I was young)... 'it is a truism but nonetheless true that what you see depends on where you stand and in which direction you're looking' -

I'm repeatedly unimpressed with how meaningless entertainment can grip our attention. But then sometimes it seems meaningful. EG #BlackEarthRising on BBC at the moment which is telling a story of the Rwanda genocide. Meaningful. Important. Entertainment?
